PrestaShop 1.6 - Будет жить!

После выхода PrestaShop 1.7 все начали жутко паниковать. Что же будет с ихними магазинами, ведь механизма перехода с PrestaShop 1.6 на 1.7 пока что нет.

Откуда информация о том что PrestaShop 1.6 — Будет жить!

На официальном ресурсе PrestaShop один из разработчиков написал следующее:

The 1.6 branch of PrestaShop will get maintenance releases for the forthcoming two years (until October 2018). The Core will be mainly focused on 1.7, but we'll be happy to merge PRs from the community on a regular basis!

Updating is possible, but needs more work than for a regular upgrade. The user must understand that the theme needs to be entirely rewritten, and that modules should be checked thoroughly or updated from Addons.
